Name of Power: Emotional Control


Power description: In short Nadine’s power enables her to have control other over people’s emotions, this enables her to make people feel hatred towards others, or make others love her, though that aspect takes a very long time to master. She can attempt to stop someone attacking her via using this power, though many believe it to be useless in war, that statement is far from the truth, she is able to make people go crazy, and enter buildings under strong defenses, though she cannot make people do things she would just try and make people go into such sad state that they go crazy. Her power also enables her to make people who she is fighting with feel brave if they are scared of fighting, but yet again she can’t get them to move in there, they would have to do it themselves, she would just have to give them a boost, in simple terms.
One major weakness of the power is that it doesn’t usually penetrate other powers, though in a defensive mechanism it cannot be duplicated or mimicked, giving her a small advantage. The power takes quite a bit of mind control, and flicking of the hand, though someone who is a real master of the power can just inflict the emotion by looking at the person whose emotions are trying to be changed, the power makes the person who is effecting the others eyes to turn a deep, but pretty pink colour, it swirls around the eye, and only stops when she blinks. Another weakness in the power is that it can’t penetrate solid objects, mainly because eye contact is required, until in the case of making someone feel extreme sadness then she would have to look at them until the collapsed onto the floor. With this power she has to be concentrate, so in a battle she would have to try and keep concentration whilst there is a battle going on, that is why she is usually used as a spy.

The Power has a history, unlike most of the other powers; it is probably one of the only powers that hasn’t been recognized as mutant like, even though it most obviously is. The power has been recorded in history, several famous female leaders have been said to have the power, the most Famous being Cleopatra (Who is Nadine’s role model) . She used it to sway over the Roman leaders, though she didn’t know it could make people feel sad or brave. Etc.
Another person who is said to have had the power is Helen of Sparta/ Troy she used it on several Greek rulers. Nadine didn’t know these facts, as she never really thought about it. The Power has also been recalled in several other people throughout history, though the interesting thing is that they have all been female, which means that the Power is primordially a female one, which means that the power effects male’s much more than it does females, though it can still do horrific things to females. The power can also detect what other people are feeling, but a weakness of this is that the emotions get mingled up if she is in a huge crowd, however she can choose to block them out.

Appearance: Nadine is quite a small person, about 5ft 4, even though she has grown to wearing high heels most of the time to try and cover this. She has beautiful brown flowing brown hair, and Brown eyes, which turn pink when she is using her power. Her clothing tends to be fashionable clothing, though it is also sensible, as in she isn’t afraid of wearing a hat in the winter, her clothing changes on a daily basis. She has somewhat of a nervous smile, but she doesn’t smile often. From a first glance many would think that she is quite quiet and not a bad person, and her choice of clothing expresses this, even though it isn’t the truth. She is usually serious, not really smiling. She isn’t very heavy weight wise, and has a rather thin physique; this is mainly due to the simple fact that she doesn’t eat much. But one main feature that people notice is her walk, it is extremely exaggerated, placing one foot in front of the over in a line, creating a swaying movement, this walk tends to attract people to her, and she uses it to get people to love her, along with her power.

Personality: From first glance she seems like a nice quiet, peaceful person, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. She is always scheming people’s demises, though she can’t really be classed as crazy, she is longing to find someone to use her powers to ruin and make them crumble at her feet, she is simply evil. She doesn’t care about what others think of her, though if she overhears people talking about her then she will make a note to ruin them later on, and more times than none she succeeds in ruining them. She is so innocent looking that none suspect her, apart from possibly the high ranking mutants of the Manor. She doesn’t enjoy practicing in the Training Field and often goes off in the middle of practices to go wreck another mutants mind. That’s how she gets her practice done by inflicting pain on other mutants, though of course not all the time she escapes unscaved. She wouldn’t dare try her powers on someone with Superhuman Strength or a powerful power which could quite simple get her killed, she has more sense than that, she also stays away from Mutants with powers such as mind reading. As she doesn’t want them telling people about her, but she would probably just attempt to attract, the person who they have told, to love her. She is filled with Jealousy, and she enjoys messing up peoples relationships, she will stand her ground against anyone who confronts her, and she will use sneaky tactics to get around them.

Nadine tries to keep an aura of power around her, she hopes to become a leader, she is not afraid to get people back who stand in her way of victory, even if she uses others to kill them, she almost always succeeds.


History: Nadine’s life is a little bit hit and miss, however it is certainly a gory one, she lived in Berlin, Germany, and she had a quiet, normal life, however she wasn’t allowed to go into the town centre., this confused Nadine and she wanted to know why so she walked along the road, then she saw a boy, who she found quite attractive, so she walked over, she has never been afraid to express her feelings. The boy turned to her, and told her to get lost. This angered her so much that she went to slap him across the face but before she could do so the boy fell to the floor in a mad rage, it turned out that she was a mutant, and that was why she wasn’t allowed to go into the Capital centre, she was satisfied by making the boy go mad, and just walked off leaving him there on the floor. She had unknowingly made him see something horrible, using the sadness within his mind, but she had no sorrow for the boy, she had actually had a feeling of great pleasure making him go mad.

From that day she set out on a mad rage, her father one day decided to get in a huge argument with Nadine’s mum, and she made him go mad, eventually he got the Police on her, and she ran away, but lurked the streets of Berlin, entering that out of bounds area of the Town Centre, she made people go mad for fun. She ended up being able to get a hotel room, though she probably persuaded the staff using her powers. Through the past Nadine has used her powers so often that she has almost full control of them, and she really just needs to make it a bit less obvious when she does it. Anyway, Nadine settled in, however after about two weeks, the police rolled up again, and Nadine only just escaped. Her bag flung over her shoulder, high heels on, she went to live on the streets, though she most probably returned to the Hotel for food, as her power still affected the owners.

When she was little Nadine had learnt English, and she had become very fluent at the language, maybe even more so than she was with German. She never met her parents after she ran away, and has no intention of going back, she now roams the streets, and intends to make anyone who she fancy, to be honest, and make them go mad, sadness had always been the one emotion she enjoyed inflicting, that along with fear, the two together can make anyone with a heart collapse from shock, that was Nadine’s tactic to use against the police men, though she picked them off one by one, hiding down always and grabbing them against the wall, then inflicting her horrors, after each police officer she moved on, hid again and then unleashed the horror on the first Policeman to find her, this plan proved to be sufficient, so it was a plan she kept.

However there was one day when her plan failed and the Police caught her, Nadine was sentenced to an Mental Asylum, which she hated, not that anyone would enjoy a Mental Asylum. She was kept in a deep volt, behind a wall, with a small slot for giving her food. She needed to get out of this place, so she faked her own death, it seemed like the only thing to do, as soon as the door opened, and the first Officer came to Check her pulse she struck, a blast of emotion soared around the room, all the Officers collapsed onto the floor screaming, a sound that Nadine has proven good at blocking out, she stole the keys and locked the door behind her, pretty much all of the Officers had come to check on her, so she met little resistance when she walked out, though she did have to knock one out at the door, and she escaped back into the wild streets of Berlin.

The first place she went to was her mother’s old house, which had been abandoned for a year or so, and now she still stays there, making sort of a living, she hasn’t bothered to try and use her powers again, there isn’t really anyone to use her powers on, though her eyes still flourish a pink colour every time she gets angry, sad, or happy. After a week in the house she realized that her power worked with reflections, so she decided to test the theory and she went to a shop, clothes shop, and actually bought some clothes with some stolen money, then her eyes turned pink and all the people in the room collapsed onto the floor, she was right, the power worked from reflections, then she learned that she needed to look people in the eye, or for them to look at her in the eye for her power to work. This knowledge meant that when she was retrieved and taken to the Manor, she knew that she was more efficient than most at using her powers. Though she still didn’t now all of the powers gory past. Back to present times, Nadine started to get less popular with the News crews, she stopped being put on T.V with a prize for catching her, and after all she hadn’t really done much apart from the Shopping Centre, though she knew that she was secretly being searched for. She didn’t have a T.V in the House, so she didn’t know what was happening in the World, and she really wasn’t interested anyway, that was until she had a visit from someone not so different from her…



RP Sample (Note: it is from the part when she tested the theory that her power worked with reflections): Ah the normal everyday life of Berlin, dull and boring, needs spicing up. The thoughts lingered in Nadine’s mind for merely a second before she dismissed them. Her high heeled shoes clicked the ground as she walked, one foot in front of the other, her hair flowing behind her, she turned to the left down a row of marble steps, then she walked through the main automatic door into the Shopping Centre. Her eyes lingered around taking in the places formation, she needed to find a clothes shop, not that anyone would notice a pretty young lady walking around in high heels? Wrong, a man whistled from the side, Nadine ignored him, the temptation to make him collapse right there on the floor was so hard to fight, but Nadine managed it, the man wasn’t for her tastes, but she didn’t want to make herself obvious. She continued along the polished floor, her heels clicking against the floor. Onto the escalator she went, it climbed up slowly, and on reaching the top she wandered to the right, hand on the railing which stopped people falling to their deaths. Then it caught her eye ‘HUGO BOSS’ The sign was the first thing Nadine saw, she hadn’t been here in a very long time, and it had changed a lot since her last visit, but that had been when she was a Good girl, who always obeyed orders, she had changed so much over the span of 9 years. She walked over to the shop, yet another Automatic door lay ahead of her.

Inside the store it smelt of cotton, silk, all the different types of clothing material, a smell which Nadine liked, though didn’t love. She wandered around made her pick of a few clothes. You know, blending in. Something that she found rather easy, after all her power didn’t affect her body, like give her horns or wings, thank God. She went to the till, placing the clothes on the counter, as you do. Then she payed, reaching out with the stolen money, smiling all the time she did so, then retrieving the bag she turned around the small flickered to a none existent glare and her eyes started to swirl into a misty pink, the time had come.

Suddenly an invisible blast of power hit the mirror, which reflected around the room, anyone who could see Nadine’s reflection instantly feel to the ground, her plan had been successfully. Quietly she walked out of the room, the automatic door closing in her wake.
