Power Description
:
Angel is able to control all the elements – earth, air, fire, water and electricity. At the moment, he’s just getting used to having these abilities and isn’t always in full control of them – if he gets angry, he could burst into flames, or if he wants to be left alone, a blast of air could come off him to knock everyone away. If he doesn’t want to be touched, electricity flows over his skin, so anyone that lays a finger on him gets a shock. He can make his skin hard as rock, though it’s still able to break through it, and when he does this, his skin has cracks in it, making him look a little like The Thing from the Fantastic Four, but without been all big and orange. He thinks that with practice, he may be able to mix two or more of his abilities, however, he isn’t too sure about this. With his wings, however, things are totally different. He has had his wings all his life, and it’s where his name, Angel, comes from. He’s always been able to flap them, but they weren’t big enough for him to actually use them to fly until he turned thirteen. Since then, it’s been hard to keep him on the ground, as the freedom of been able to fly is something he’d never give up. Whenever he uses his elemental abilities, the gold ring he has around his pupils flash. His big weakness is his emotions – they tend to make him lose control of his elemental abilities.
Apperance
:
Angel is about 5’10 in height and weighs around 140 pounds, and has blonde hair and blue eyes. However, his eyes aren’t totally normal – he has a gold ring around his pupils, something that always makes him stand out when someone notices them about him. His wings are pure white, and if he spreads them out fully, his wingspan is about 16 feet. He normally wears a baggy t-shirt or jumper to hide his wings when he’s around humans, though he has slits in the back of them all so he can fly. If he isn’t around humans, he usually wears a t-shirt, no matter how cold it is. That’s because one of the up-sides of his abilities are that he doesn’t feel the cold or heat, something he’s extremely thankful for when he’s flying, as it can get quite cold up there. He is kind of pale, and not really that muscly.
Personality
:
Angel is a quiet person, usually keeping himself to himself, for fear of what might happen to other people if he lost control of his emotions. Because of this, and all the bullying he had to endure when he was younger, he finds it difficult to make friends. Not that he thinks anyone would want to be friends with him – he was a freak, after all. Despite all this, Angel still does his best to be a nice person, and if he sees someone been bullied, he’ll do his best to help out. At the moment, Angel is coming to terms with his new found ability, trying to get used to been able to control the elements. Always the optimist, he has found that he can at least get a drink if he’s thirsty without having to steal anything. And he loves to play with fire, something that has always fascinated him. However, he isn’t keen on showing his powers off to other people, thinking himself a big enough freak for having wings without giving people something else to call him one for. Angel can also be a bit shy at times, especially around girls. He tends to feel awkward, and goes very quiet. He doesn’t like fighting, but he will if he has to. At the moment, Angel’s greatest rival is his emotions. He needs to learn to control his emotions a bit better so he can have full control over his abilities, and lose his fear of hurting people by accident.
History
:
Angel never knew his parents. His mum died not long after he was born, surviving just long enough to name him. His dad took one look at his wings and disowned him, not wanting a freak for a son. All his life, he’s been sent from orphanage to orphanage, never finding a parent who would take him in, all because of his wings. By the time he was ten, he’d been through most of the orphanages in England, and had long ago lost hope of ever finding a family. He was constantly bullied by the other children, and they used to pull or hit his wings. The adults were confused where to send him when his wings were damaged – do they send him to the hospital, or the vets? When he hit thirteen years old, Angel found his wings were big enough to get him off the ground. He practised and practised, until he was able to finally fly. When he did, he spent the next couple of weeks stealing a bit of food here and there from the kitchen, never taking so much that he’d get caught or wouldn’t be able to carry it. Once his backpack was full of food, he put it on, having to put it on front ways round, so it didn’t get in the way of his wings, and flew off. Angel knew he didn’t have anywhere to go, and he ended up on the streets, having to steal food to survive. If he ever got caught, he’d fly away. Years passed on the streets, and Angel flew up and down the country, glad that at least he had the freedom given to him by his wings. However, he got a surprise when he turned 16. He woke up one day, with a massive migraine and his body aching all over, with a fever and really bad dehydration. He stayed like this for a few days, his mood getting worse for it. After all that had happened to him, Angel wasn’t much of a people person and just wanted to be left alone, and one day, he got sick of people asking if he was all right, and lost it. Screaming at them to leave him be, a massive blast of air that seemed to centre from him knocked everyone off their feet. It seemed that letting this out made him feel a lot better – the migraine, aches, fever and dehydration were all gone. Scared at what he had done, Angel jumped up and flew away, wishing he wasn’t such a freak.
