Power description: Lucien’s ability of power mimicry is a bit complicated to some, though he finds it simple enough. If he comes into physical contact with a mutant, and chooses to, he can take their power, though the mutant also keeps it. While this might be like the mutant Rogue, Lucien’s ability doesn’t leave the other mutant powerless or weak. As well as this, Lucien is able to keep all the powers he has taken and use them when he wishes to, though he can’t take physical mutations such as tails or wings. When he takes a new ability, he gets a blinding headache, until the ability has taken a place in his brain and is stored. This is not Lucien’s biggest down fall, however... the amount of power he can potentially have has broken Lucien’s mind, corrupting him. He will now do whatever it takes to get an ability he wants, not caring who he has to hurt. When he uses abilities he has taken, his eyes can flash a demonic bright red and they always flash red when he takes an ability.


Appearance: Lucien’s hair is a medium length brown hair, and his eyes are brown as well. He is about 5’11, and weighs about 160 pounds. He’s not too fussed on what he wears – sometimes he’ll be in the mood for a suit, or sometimes he’ll just wear a t-shirt and sweatpants. No matter what he wears though, his clothes are usually on the darker side of the colour spectrum, sticking to mainly blacks or dark colours. Muscle-wise, Lucien is a lot stronger than he looks, though his body is quite toned. In the right light, his eyes can sometimes look a demonic red, revealing his inner nature as a crazed homicidal maniac.

Personality: Lucien used to be a bit of a snob before his abilities kicked in. He’d look down on the less privileged, though he got on well with most other rich people. But then his abilities developed, and now he’d rather rip everyone’s throats out, and he’d enjoy it. His powers have corrupted his mind, and he seeks only more power, and will kill to get it, and he doesn’t care who he kills. He is a homicidal maniac, but to make things scarier for everyone else; he is also a brilliant actor, and very cunning, usually thinking things through. He doesn’t talk if he doesn’t have to, though there will be times when he is quite chatty, though he has a tendency to be very blunt. He is so far gone that he enjoys killing, and as for emotions... he still has them, but they don’t usually come out much. He is a bit of a loner, preferring not to get close to people in case he decides he is bored of them and ends up trying to kill them. He is basically the definition of the dark side... evil, powerful and always there to kill someone without asking why. He is naturally musically talented, and had lessons with many instruments when he was younger, though he rarely plays any now. Lucien is not the type of person you want to be an enemy with, which is unfortunate, as he sees everyone as a potential enemy. If he meets a group of people who rub him the wrong way, he can be found with a kill list, with people in order of how soon he wants them dead. His killings can be for no reason whatsoever, just purely for the fun of it, or sometimes for even the smallest of things, such as calling him Lulu. When he gets into a fight, it is to kill or severely injure the person, to teach them a lesson, though how they’re meant to learn it when they’re dead is something Lucien doesn’t think about, as it means they’re not bothering him any longer.


History: Lucien grew up in a normal house for with normal parents, living a normal life, with nothing interesting happening to him whatsoever.

Actually, that’s a lie. Lucien lived in a manor house in England, with a summer house in France, looked after by a gorgeous au pair, who looked after his every need while his parents travelled the world, leaving him at home to party and do whatever he wanted, not bothered about the cash he spent because there was a lot more where it came from.

That, too, is a lie.

In actuality, Lucien lived in a four bed roomed house with his parents, who worked with the government and hence earned a fair bit of money. He went to Eton, where he fit in perfectly with the preps and jocks and other snobs, having a talent for most of the sports there, as well as having a skill with musical instruments. He had friends, and looked down on the nerds, sometimes shoving one in a locker every now and then. He’d go out drinking as well, and of course, he smoked. As well as this, he did.... other things. He was like a modern day Dorian Gray, though he didn’t have the immortality. Or at least, he didn’t yet. And nor did he have any idea about having any abilities.

The first sign of his abilities came when he turned 15. He’d been brought up to hate mutants by his parents, and he met someone who he seemed to get on with. He shook the person’s hand and all of a sudden felt his eyes go weird, almost itchy, and then he was struck with a blinding headache. It turned out that this person was, in fact, a mutant, ne who healed and as such, was immortal. Lucien blamed the mutant for his pain, not realising that he’d got his first ability.

At least, he didn’t until he got hurt. There was always that risk in London, and Lucien knew that. That’s why he’d not stray far from the richer side of his area, unless it was to get something that was... legally questionable. It was on one of these outings where someone tried to mug him. Lucien was never one to back down from someone threatening him, and attacked the mugger back. He got stabbed, and was amazed when he healed. Surely that should have killed him? The knife had slipped between his ribs!

Realising what had happened, and knowing that he was a mutant, Lucien felt shame. For just a second – then he felt angry. He pulled the knife out from himself and attacked the mugger with it, viciously stabbing and slicing him. Afterwards, he looted the mugger’s body and found himself £57.66; a packet of Lambert and Butler cigarettes and an iPod Touch better off.

Once he had escaped the scene of his crime and washed the blood off of himself, Lucien looked back to what had happened and realised... he’d enjoyed killing the mugger. The adrenalin rush had been awesome! He also wondered how he got his ability for healing... he’d never been able to do such a thing before, and he’d heard that becoming a mutant could be kind of painful when your body changes, or if you use an ability for the first time.

For the first time... Lucien realised the first time he’d felt a pain that could maybe be put down to his first use of a mutant ability was when he’d shook the hands of that mutant. A mutant who seemed to have the same exact ability Lucien had developed. That... was weird.

Always one to throw himself in the deep end, Lucien ended up finding the mutant community. Or at least, a part of it. One of the mutants he met was a bald guy in a wheelchair, calling himself Professor Xavier. He refused to shake Lucien’s outstretched hand, which kind of bummed Lucien, until Xavier let him know about his ability... Lucien could use the abilities of other mutants and keep the abilities, gaining them just by touching the mutant. Lucien was quite excited at the prospect of the power he’d get from that, but also bummed... he didn’t want the lame abilities.

Professor X and Lucien both agreed that the Institute wouldn’t b a good place for Lucien to go, Xavier because he knew Lucien could become a danger, and Lucien because he didn’t want any lame powers. And so Xavier taught him to use his abilities. It didn’t take very long at all... Lucien realised all he had to do was will himself to take the ability. He also learned that he couldn’t take physical abilities. By the end of the training, to add to the healing, Lucien could also control fire (though not create it), gained weapons proficiency and gained the ability to tell when someone was lying (an ability he thought was rubbish, but admitted could come in useful).

And so Xavier then invited Lucien to come to the school. Lucien promptly told him to get lost (in less polite terms) and went back to living his life as it was. At least, for a while. Over time, he’d been thinking about the whole killing thing and how much he’d enjoyed it. He knew he shouldn’t... but he really wanted to do it again. Plus.. there were people out there that wouldn’t be missed, right? Like the hobos and drug users and dealers.... Yeah, no one would care.

And so London’s papers started running stories about a mass murderer who seemed to have something against bums and junkies. Meanwhile, Lucien found himself with a rather large amount of drugs and money from the dealers and users he’d killed, and a lot of booze that he’d nicked from the hobos. Much to his dislike, he found out that he couldn’t get drunk anymore, thanks to his healing ability kicking in and sorting out his liver. And due to this, he left alcohol behind for the moment and turned to the drugs.

By now, Lucien was sixteen, and the killings seemed to have stopped for now, as Lucien was usually too doped up to be bothered with it. Unfortunately for his parents, one night he’d taken a whole load of different things and it had made him temporarily crazy. The hallucinations weren’t really helping, and when he saw two giant glowing blobs come in through the shrinking doorway and call him Lulu, he lost it. He grabbed the knife he kept on him, the one from his first killing, and attacked. The blobs screamed and blood went everywhere while Lucien let out a crazy laugh, letting his insanity and thirst for power take him over.

When he came back to his (not much saner) senses, he found that those two giant blobs had, in fact, been his parents. At this stage, Lucien didn’t really care. In fact, he stayed where he was, laughing and stabbing his father’s eyeballs again and again until they were gooey shreds and his brain was poking out of the sockets. He’d have carried on if the police hadn’t come in and found him, after been rung up by a concerned neighbour who had heard the screams.

Lucien’s drugs were found, and his DNA and fingerprints taken as he was arrested for possession of a deadly weapon, triple homicide (he’d killed one of the cops trying to arrest him before he was tackled and cuffed), possession of Class A, B and C drugs, assaulting an officer and resisting arrest.

The police were shocked to find that his DNA and fingerprints matched those of the mass murderer exactly. Lucien had been caught. In court, he was found guilty of 18 murders, as well as the possession of drugs and a weapon. He gained 18 life sentences with no hope of parole until after the sixth. What the police didn’t know at the time was that Lucien would be able to carry out the full sentence.

He was left in solitary confinement in prison, and so he stayed there. Almost two years have now passed, and Lucien is eighteen and getting bored of been stuck in jail.
