Power Description
:
Aiden can time travel, but unlike one of his favourite tv shows, Doctor Who, he cannot just time travel just anywhere in the future or the past. He can only travel along one girl’s timeline. This girl just so happens to be Vader. Right before he travels, he becomes transparent because half of himself is in one place, and half is in another. This pulls on his mind because he’s seeing more than one thing at once. Especially when he’s going somewhere far, either across the big pond, or somewhere that jumps 20 years or more, it can leave him unconscious because it drains so much energy. If he freaks out or is somehow freaked out before or during the travel, he will end up going farther in time. Most of the time, he gets emotionally unstable from it because he’s afraid of what he’s going back to. He has absolutely no control of where he’s going or for how long he’s going to be there, so he’ll occasionally get scared and afraid wondering if his friends are going to think that he died, just like his parent’s thought. Another side effect is that if someone is touching him while he travels, they will travel too but if they are lost during the traveling period, they will die. And (he doesn’t know this) but if it’s over a year, they will be lost and will die. (Once he goes to school, he’ll be able to feel how long he will be gone and if it’s a day or less, he would be able to make it so that he is in the transparent state for the whole time and doesn’t completely leave. But it will drain him of a lot of energy. Also with time, he’ll be able to learn how to warp the concept of time. First he’ll branch off so it’s not just Vader’s history, then he’ll be able to almost teleport. Be somewhere and then be somewhere else like behind an attacker within seconds. I figured this way his power can actually be affective instead of just – I’m a freak. Ahhhh save me.) Also, he can travel with clothes thank you very much. On account of having his powers intertwined with Vader’s, he has subconscious barriers protecting his thoughts and memories. These barriers can be broken with concentration will rebuild when the concentration is lost.
Apperance
:
Aiden is very thin and gangly. He is 5’9 and (so he says) still growing. He has brown hair and has startlingly blue eyes that are a contrast to his dark hair. His hair is hardly ever well kept on account of living on the streets and having to fiend for himself. He is usually seen wearing his worn down pair of black converse, jeans, and tee-shirts. Especially in London, where it’s cooler and where’s he’s originally from will he be seen with a certain hoodie. He wears it everywhere and has even bit a hole through one of the sleeves. He is always seen with a thick, woven bracelet. Vader gave it to him when he was 13 and hasn’t taken it off since (he also hasn’t seen her since.) Many people consider him attractive, but he doesn’t think so. However, what he doesn’t know is that he is one of those rare people that whenever they try to look attractive, they aren’t as attractive as when they’re trying not to be.
Personality
:
Aiden is very shy and reserved. He is afraid of making friends because every friend that he has made, he has also lost. After he disappears, they think that he has died and even when he returns, they won’t accept him because he won’t give them an explanation of why he disappeared. He has often had girls trying to gain his attention, but for this same reason, he has never had a girlfriend. Even if he really liked the girl back, he was too afraid of growing even closer and then losing her. He is also very bottled up and is afraid of telling people what happens to him, the reasons of his mysterious disappearances. Before he disappeared again and Vader lost her memory, the two of them were not shy. Around true friends, or his one friend, he wasn’t afraid to be himself because no matter how long he was gone, she would still be there waiting for him. He tries to make her laugh at all cost and will try to lighten the mood and is far too obsessed with penguins for it to be healthy. He will refuse to rest if he sees that she goes over a week without wearing either a penguin or a Doctor Who shirt.
History
:
Aiden lived a fairly normal life until he was seven. He had two parents, an older brother, and a younger sister. However, when he was seven, he was kidnapped. On account of being induced with drugs, he doesn’t remember very much of what exactly happened, but he remember a girl named Vader who was beside him the whole time. There were big men who mentioned “experiments” and “mutation” and before he knew it, he and Vader were strapped to big, cold slabs of metal. He recalled one of the men explaining to him that he would be able to wield the concepts of time, and another explaining to Vader something about concepts of the mind. After that all he remembered was pain and then waking up, next to Vader, in a train traveling to London. Parts of his memory was gapped so he could remember his families faces, but could not recall where he lived or most of his childhood. After this occurrence, he would mysteriously wake up in different places. It was very frequent at first and for short periods of time, but by the time he was eight, he disappeared for almost 6 months. Vader was with him the whole way. Together they learned about their powers and learned how to gain food and shelter. It wasn’t hard for Vader, she could get in people’s head and tell them to give her food and money, but it was harder for him, especially when he disappeared. After a few of these disappearances, he began to realize that he was jumping years in advance or behind. He would also see Vader all the time, however; sometimes she wouldn’t remember him. She was young – only around three. After a while, he saw her in the future crumpled on the ground crumpled and …dying. This thought scared him so much that he was too afraid to tell Vader. Because his barriers frustrated, she had learned not to bother so he didn’t think that she ever saw the image. A year or so later, he had gone into Vader’s future and had seen her as an 18 year-old. She knew him, but refused to tell him about his life because she was old enough to understand that them two meeting might not even happen because the future was changed every day. He came back frustrated in the middle of a wooded area. Through the trees he heard screaming. He knew the sound well and could hear the pain in Vader’s voice. He ran to her aid and saw Vader – on the ground, covered in blood. A man was standing over her holding a gun. However, every time he tried to pull the trigger, he couldn’t. “Stop messing with my head!” He yelled repetitively. The more that he struck her, the more she was losing concentration. Aiden knew that if she was there any longer, she would die. He ran to her aid and got battered himself. He realized that his skin was becoming translucent. He knew that he was about to travel and he threw himself over his best-friends body, protecting her. He wouldn’t disappear with the man still there. He woke up next to Vader on the doorstep of some place in America (However, he did not know that it was America). He noticed that she was still unconscious. Upon seeing her, he realized that he had seen that image once before. She was wearing the exact clothes, her body was in the exact position and the blood was where it had been. When he saw her the first time, he had been sure she was dead. He began to hyperventilate. He wouldn’t let her die. He knew felt her pulse and calmed down slightly at the feeling of a pulse. He then snatched a paper off the ground and began confused when he realized it was only a day later. He had never ever traveled somewhere so close in time, it was always months – years even. With his confusement , panic, relief that she wasn’t dead, and terror that he was the cause of her being so close to death. He pretty much lost it when he felt his mind being pulled in two directions. He knew that he was travelling again but he could not leave her. She would die if she was all alone. He tried to grab her hand and let her come with him again but somehow she knew that she wouldn’t survive the travel. He closed his eyes and attempted not to cry as Vader slipped away. He ended up losing track of time, but where he traveled next was Vader as an 80 year-old dying of cancer. He stayed with her for roughly 2 years. She would refrain from telling him much, but she did let slip that they got married. At his face, old Vader explained that the future wasn’t set in stone. It could change very easily. This was proven true when he traveled to Vader in her 40s dying in a car accident. She mentioned how much she missed him and how he looked like he had never changed. She died soon after that and he held her hand the whole way. However, just as she was taking her last dying breaths, he disappeared. Both times he never saw her actually die. He was then sent to Vader in her 20s. She seemed rather drunk and she yelled at him. She would not stop going on about how much they hated each other. This hurt Aiden so much that he wished over and over again that that future wouldn’t come true …if she was even alive. A few more of the happened before he finally found himself back in what seemed to be real time. He lived on the streets of London for 4 months without a single travel and has been there since. He camped out in an alley that he and Vader “claimed” waiting constantly for her to show up.
